Aniimo Elements: All Nine Types Explained
Aniimo has nine elements: holy, fire, ice, dark, electric, grass, water, rock and wind. How elemental advantage, resistance and damage typing work in combat.

What are the nine Aniimo elements?
The official Aniimo index filters the roster by nine elements. They cover a conventional spread of natural and cosmic typings, and every Aniimo in the index carries exactly one.
| Element | Notes |
|---|---|
| holy | Also rendered as Light in some skill text |
| dark | The opposing cosmic typing |
| fire | |
| ice | |
| water | |
| grass | |
| electric | |
| rock | |
| wind |
One naming quirk is worth flagging. Aniimo listed under the holy element have skills that deal Light damage and effects that reduce Light Resistance. The index filter and the skill text use different words for what appears to be the same element, so do not treat “Light” in a tooltip as a tenth type.
How does elemental advantage work?
Elemental advantage modifies final damage rather than replacing it. Skill and trait text in the official index refers to attacking with an advantageous element as a distinct state, and some traits deliberately reward the opposite case, which means the system is a multiplier rather than a hard gate.
Lunara is a clear example. Its trait, Lunar Power, increases final damage by 30% specifically when not attacking with an advantageous element. That design only makes sense if off-element attacks are otherwise weaker, and it tells you advantage is worth building around for most of the roster.
The official index does not publish a full matchup chart. What it does document per Aniimo is the element it carries and the element each of its skills deals, and those two are not always the same.
What is elemental resistance?
Resistance is tracked per element on the target, and skills can lower it. Lunara’s Lumin Bolts applies a mark that reduces Light Resistance by 5%, stacking up to three times for ten seconds. Resistance shredding is therefore a real build axis, not just a flat damage race.
Two implications follow:
- Stacking windows matter. A debuff that stacks three times over ten seconds rewards sustained uptime rather than single burst hits.
- Team composition can compound. A creature that shreds one element pairs naturally with heavy hitters of that same element.
How should elements shape your roster?
Cover several elements rather than deepening one. Because element and role are independent axes in the index, a roster can be wide on one and narrow on the other without you noticing.
When you catch new creatures, check the element you are missing before the one you like. How to catch Aniimo covers how spawns respond to environment, weather and time, which is how you go looking for a specific typing on purpose.
